We watch the film Mulholland Drive yesterday, and suddenly hit us like a bolt of lightening. How many times do we misdiagnose situations. How many times we do not know the road that we’ve taken our assumptions miles off course.
It’s like playing golf and only know how to use three clubs and should be used in every situation.
It’s like a view through a camera zoom lens, not a different angle.
It’s like blindly following the other.
The fact is that most of our lives is spent reusing the information gathered in recent years. So, when something new enters the arena we go to our immediate past to try to understand it.
The result is: each of us an illusion of life. Each of us we see the world through colored glasses some very heavy. Each of us act as though we are a hammer and all that comes in front of us is a nail.
The problem is. IT DOES NOT WORK.
We impressed with how easily we fall into the trap. How we can easily interpret what is happening before our eyes and be logical. How easily we find closure.
To make us comfortable, we want to put something into a comfortable category. We want to put the happenings in the box the same way with books for easy access to the code library. Ah! That took place in the family box. That’s rude behavior. That can not be accepted in society. Shows that he is uneducated etc etc etc …
Yes, you can claim that this form of coding is important in life because it helps us get through life quickly.
BUT!
Why do we want to put ourselves and others to become ‘the psychological’? What is about us that we say we want this type of person or that? Why do we want to limit ourselves? Why would we sell ourselves short?
